For thirty years Mersey Valley was known for one thing: a proper parkland golf course set in 125 acres of Cheshire farmland. It still is — and after a decade of redevelopment under Course Manager Mike O’Keeffe, it’s in the best shape it has ever been.
But the valley does rather more now. There are two lakes stocked for coarse fishing, two indoor simulator bays that turn a wet Tuesday into Pebble Beach, a pro shop with TrackMan fitting, a kitchen with a five-star rating, a bar that shows the football, and a first-floor suite that has hosted everything from wedding breakfasts to board meetings.
You don’t need to be a member. You don’t even need to play golf.

Two simulator bays,

‘The Falcon’ from Foresight Sports reads more than a dozen points of ball and club data on every shot — nearly twice that of any other overhead launch monitor. Play St Andrews in February. Settle an argument with a longest-drive contest. Or just get a lesson that finally sticks.
Both bays sit in their own bar area, so the four of you who aren’t hitting have somewhere decent to sit. Hire by the hour, seven days a week.
Weddings, parties, meetings
A room with
a rather good view.
The St Mellion Suite holds 150 for a party, 100 theatre-style for a conference, and has its own private bar and a wall of windows onto the course. Downstairs, the Griffin Room takes 12 to 14 for something more intimate.
Our events team build packages rather than sell them — hot and cold buffets, afternoon teas, three-course sit-downs, or just a room, a bar and a playlist.
